Training and Development
With over 15 years of teaching/training experience as a classroom teacher/trainer, I am well able to encourage, coach and motivate individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
I became certified to teach in 1995 and have held certification as a Professional Educator in both North and South Carolina. I served as a classroom teacher in Greenville, SC County Schools (7th and 8th grade language arts/social studies), and Anderson, SC District One (10th grade English, Creative Writing, and SAT prep). I have been a substitute teacher with Asheville, NC City Schools since 2014.
From 2003 to 2005 I served as the Director of Education/Center Director of Sylvan Learning Centers of Spartanburg, SC. While there, I conceptualized and executed their first ever summer enrichment programs, greatly enhancing center revenues.
My experience extends to the corporate world, where I held multiple training positions with Eckerd Drugs. I was a training store manager, and went on to become a District Trainer. Eventually I became Senior Regional Trainer for the Mid-Atlantic Region. During my time with Eckerds, I designed, produced and implemented district- and region-specific, as well as company-wide, training materials and programs.
